Rochelle started singing at the tender age of nine,
recording her first album UNA CHICA MAS with EMI CAPITOL RECORDS in Mexico.
Rochelle was discovered at the CHICAGO THEATER when she was performing in Christmas musical seated in the audience was
manager and producer Helmunth Shaerf who at the time also managed Jose
Feliciano. He was amazed with her unique voice at such a young age and short
after became her manager. Rochelle recorded a duet with Jose Feliciano making
it number one in the top charts in Mexico. By the age of 10 Rochelle had
already recorded an album with four videos, she performed with various artist
such as Juan Luis Guerra, Thalia, Selena, Veronica Castro to name a few,
Rochelle was touring all over Mexico performing on the popular latin shows such
as SIEMPRE EN DOMINGO with Raul Velaszuez, Televisa, LA MOVIDA with Veronica
Castro, SABADO GIGANTE, to name a few.
Rochelle’s career was going great but her dream was to sing for the
English market, so when her contract was over Rochelle moved back to her home
town Chicago with her dream to continue to sing and perform but this time in
the back home in the United States.
At the age of 13 Rochelle auditioned for a dance music record company named SOS RECORDS with producers 20 FINGERS, amazed by her talent and voice Rochelle was offered a contract, recording her first single PRAYING FOR AN ANGEL a song that instantly became a freestyle classic. Rochelle performed next to the best of the best in freestyle industry Goerge Lamond, Cynthia, Little Susie, Lisette Melendez, Johnny O, Judy Torres, Noel, The Spice girls, K7, just to name a few. Rochelle followed with another classic freestyle song name HOLDING ON TO LOVE, the song did very well, Rochelle recorded a third single NENE a latin house track that toped radio plays in Miami, Texas, California.
Rochelle’s music, and voice have gone as far as Spain, and Asia, HOLDING ON TO LOVE was added to a compilation produced by 20 FINGERS getting a platinum record in Asia.
